The fauna ecosystem of Lefka Ori massif has a big  varity of bird spieces some of them endemic (spieces that cannot be found anywhere else).

Some of the greatest birds of Greece and maybe Europe's such the Griffon Vulture, the Bearded Vulture and the Golden Eagle can also be spoted here. So get your binocs, your camera and start searching the skies

Except those dramatic landscapes, Crete has the previlege of having a unique ecosystem. Half of the endemic flora of the island can be found on the Lefka Ori mountain range and 25 species of them are stenoendemic, can be foun only on this area.
